Welcome to our little blog of horrors, Sugar & Scream!
If you're looking for a monstrously good time, rest assured, you've come to the right place.
We're two best friends with a sisterhood forged in the Unholy Trinity that is Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction. When we're not busy devouring books, we're cooking up sinisterly scrumptious baked goods and other delights (and sometimes horrors) in our kitchens. Expect the unexpected, because we like to shake things up. Our blog is its own Frankenstein's Monster of our hobbies and passions all stitched together into one glorious abomination that encompasses everything from what we're reading and watching, to the hobbies we're working on, to our adventures in baking and plenty more!

Yayyy! I wish Australians celebrated Halloween as hardcore as you guys in the US. I’ll be taking my daughter trick or treating but we haven’t decided on a costume yet. Maybe a zombie. For my part I’ll be watching many, MANY horror movies.

A zombie would be awesome. And yay for binge-watching horror movies!

Just watched The Purge. I hadn’t seen it before. Not bad but I’m not sure it’s a horror?

I’ve actually never watched a single one of those movies. Was it good? -Scream

It seems like all the movies I added recently on my Netflix to watch are demon/haunted house type films. However, on Friday I watched Blood Red Sky, which is a German vampire on an airplane, and I really liked that one.
I’ll probably bake something rather than eat candy. Maybe a ginger apple crisp?

I’m glad to hear Blood Red Sky is good. I’ve been intrigued by that one.
Yum! Ginger apple crisp sounds delicious! 😀 I just baked a raspberry swirl cake last night.

At first I was like, “A two-hour horror movie? Really?” but there is no flab in the plot, so it was worth it.

How exciting! I just subscribed to Shudder (finally!) and have been exploring the movies on there. And I’m eagerly awaiting the new season of Dragula!
